The Language Proficiency Centre is run by Yolande Pot, teacher of English, Dutch and French; language coach; linguist; translator. Yolande grew up in The Netherlands, but moved to Australia in her early twenties where she studied French and English linguistics and obtained a master of Linguistics from the University of Technology in Sydney, Australia.
Yolande is a dedicated and committed language teacher with twenty years’ experience in education. She is also a course developer of tailormade language courses for an academic, business or leisure purpose.
As a language teacher, trainer and coach she has taught at various private companies and government organisations. She has extensive experience in teaching university students as well as university staff members. She is familiar with the international baccalaureate diploma through her teaching experience at international schools.
Yolande has travelled widely and lived in different countries and cultures. She enjoys teaching in a multicultural environment.
At the Language Proficiency Centre teaching is centred on and adapted to the individual or small group. Special attention is given to different learning styles and preferences.
